Black Lighting coming to CW Seed Soon......

 

In little more than a month Black Lightning will shock audiences, and The CW is revving up promotion with the debut of new key art for the electric hero. The stylized posters show the titular hero with his hands literally full of lightning while being flanked by his two daughters. Like their father, Jennifer and Anissa Pierce are metahumans who eventually adopt the identities of Thunder and Lightning.

The series tells the story of Jefferson Pierce, who retired from being Black Lightning for nearly a decade ago after being a hero became too much of a burden on his family life. Now a high school principal, Jefferson finds himself donning his costume yet again to fight the evil gang known as The One Hundred.

'BLACK LIGHTNING' BEING DEVELOPED FOR TV !!!!

 

DC’s Black Lightning may be the next superhero headed for the small screen.

 

Greg Berlanti, executive producer on Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, has teamed with Mara Brock Akil (creator ofBeing Mary Jane and The Game) and her husband Salim  Akil for a drama series based on the Black Lightning comic book character,Deadline is reporting. The project, from Warner Bros. TV, Berlanti Productions, and Akil Productions, is currently being shopped to networks.

The story will follow Jefferson Pierce, a retired superhero living a normal life. However, problems at his daughter’s school will pull him back into the game.

Black Lightning was one of DC Comics first major African American superheroes. He was created by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden and debuted in Black Lighting #1 in 1977.
